Brandy grew up enjoying a free-range childhood on the edge of the city. A mother of three, Brandy is passionate about alternative education and child-led learning, and has homeschooled for a number of years as well as been involved in other non-coercive child-led alternative education programs. Employed in the field of libraries, she is also passionate about inclusive safe spaces and presented a session on inclusive school learning commons’ at the Yellowhead Regional Library Conference in 2019. Brandy loves to get out to the mountains, spend all day playing in the ravine, garden, read, and play board games. Brandy believes in “food not lawns” and thinks we are so blessed to live in a city with so much accessible nature space.
