Sylvia grew up in the UK, playing around the seas and countrysides of the British Isles. She has spent much of her adult life in hospitality and tourism, helping her to live, explore and play around the globe in different roles. From ski seasons in the French Alps, to working around New Zealand and Australia, with stops elsewhere, she landed in Canada in 2019- initially in Jasper and then Vancouver Island, where she obtained her yoga teacher certification.

Sylvia recently returned to eduction and is currently half way through working towards a bachelors degree and Child & Youth Care at MacEwan University. Movement and play of all types has always been a fundamental part of Sylvia’s lifestyle, and she has seen the positive effects of outside time for folks of all ages and walks of life. She finds joy in learning from the children around her, and taking inspiration from the nature in which they are part of while at EFSS.
