My name is Tara. I am a nature loving, book reading, not afraid to get messy parent and educator. My love of the outdoors comes from a childhood where I grew up with grandparents that spent the entire summer out at the cabin (with no running water), gardened most of the vegetables, and fished and hunted. I grew up camping and running the playgrounds until the street lights came on. I love visiting Vancouver island and just walking in nature or taking in the view from the top of a mountain path. I was the kid and now the adult that still fills her pockets with cool rocks and treasures. I enjoy working with kids and have lots of experience from volunteer work with big brothers and big sisters, fostering, running my own dayhome for 12.5 years and helping my own 3 children grow and thrive. I have my ECE level 1 certificate. I was outside often with my dayhome. But when I spent the first week of my forest and nature school practitioner course out at goldbar park with EFSS I fell in love.
